Process & Pricing

What do you provide?

Our bread n’ butter service is full floor plan and exterior design service for your new home or remodel. This typically includes several rounds of preliminary plans with 3D renders for visualization – and, finally a complete set of construction documents.

However, feel free to contact us about any design service you may need, including visualization, electrical layouts, driveway/concrete flatwork plans, etc.

What’s the process?

    1. Complete and send in the design application to t.ekema@bezaleel-designs.com OR schedule a meeting in person here
    2. We contact you to establish scheduling
    3. Choose your charities. 10% of our price goes directly to one or more chosen charities and organizations from this list. This is a business donation, distinct from any of our personal tithing. The point is to draw extra attention and funds to these organizations beyond what would typically be given.
    4. Sign the contract (see here for an example)
    5. Attend meetings with us as necessary to complete preliminary plans
    6. Receive your build-ready set of custom construction documents to bring to the builder of your choice!

General Pricing

The below pricing is an estimated average square foot pricing. Prices may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Projects may be required to meet or exceed a minimum fee of $650.

Hello, and welcome!

My name is Thomas Ekema. I’m a 31 year old man who spent his entire life in Michigan. I have a wonderful wife of 9 years, and together we share the chaotic yet joyful life of raising five (and counting?) young children.

I’m an open source software enthusiast and a music lover who appreciates intricate designs and attention to detail. In my free time I also read, bike, exercise, and spend time with family and friends.

In God’s providence, I fell into residential design at Engelsma Homes after many years of running the gamut in vocational pursuits. My friends there (some of them relatives) invested a lot of time and effort in shaping my God-given talents in design, and I thank them for it.

But now I’m here.

My intentions with Bezaleel Designs are:

  1. To create a company based on the Word of God (the 66 books of the Old and New Testament commonly referred to as “The Bible”). This special Book alone contains the necessary and sufficient truths for this life and the life to come. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
  2. To give the “First Fruits” to trusted charities and organizations (Proverbs 3:9)
  3. To provide custom residential designs and services at an affordable price
  4. To use, promote, and support open source software for budding professionals on a budget
  5. To create appealing and inspiring designs
